As a British Judo Council Club we follow their licensing scheme, for a trial licence (including insurance covering three months the cost is £10.00, if you then decide to carry on and purchase a full licence the initial cost will be deducted from the full licence fee.
Gary holds a 2nd Dan and is a highly experienced coach having been trained by Sensei Hosaka, Kodokan 8th Dan to FPJ level 2. He is particularly interested in training and developing Junior and Primary Judoka and has worked hard to build the Kitsune-Gari Dojo. Gary took up Judo after watching his children get involved. Since then he's been a passionate advocate of the sport and has a deep interest in its history, etiquette and technical principles.
Steve holds a 2nd Dan and has been involved in Judo for most of his life, also having been trained by Sensei Hosaka, Kodokan 8th Dan to FPJ level 2. As a youngster he trained with the British Judo Association before joining the BJC. Steve comes from a family of passionate Judoka that is now well into its third generation! He spent many years developing his Judo through competition and is committed to coaching and developing Kata (Judo Form).
Mick Bourke started Judo at the age of eleven mentored by Sensei Roy Inman OBE. Mick's current standing of 3rd Dan was earned through the tough route of competition judo, Mick has gained many accolades through the years, competing both Nationally and Internationally and has a fine collection of medals and trophies to show for his efforts in both full competition and Kata. His knowledge gained from his competition judo added to his Kata and syllabus judo makes him a first rate coach to be able to teach students of all ages to the highest possible standard. Mick is quick to point out that the teaching at the club is a team effort and all of the Sensei's have an important role to play in the advancement of future Judoka. Mick was also trained by Sensei Hosaka, Kodokan 8th Dan to FPJ level 2 and considers judo etiquette and history to be very important in a judokas path to becoming a good dan grade.
Ian holds the rank of 2nd Dan and is a very experienced player and coach, A Former Head Coach of his own club in Hertfordshire and known to many in surrounding areas, Ian has been a welcome addition to the coaching team at Kitsune-Gari.
